About the Artist
Hi!
My name is Shelby Bork, the artist behind Bork’s Botanical Creations.
I am a second generation artist specializing in block prints and watercolor although my current obsessions include jewelry making, oil pastels, and many more hobbies. I find myself inspired by nature, and strive to include vibrant color and texture into my pieces.
I currently live in Dallas with my boyfriend Andrew, my cat Jiji, and far too many houseplants.
About Bork’s Botanical Creations
My art business, Bork’s Botanical Creations, was started in 2020 during the middle of covid lockdown. It started as a simple idea and a hope that people would like my art.
Fast forward a couple years and I feel so lucky to be able to be doing art shows again, traveling across the Midwest and pursuing a path I feel so passionate about, and being able to share that all with you!
The art shows mainly feature block prints and jewelry with a couple paintings but my actual works include a much greater range of items! I do soft pastel, watercolor, acrylic, block prints, and oil pastel pieces and regularly participate in ‘plein air’ paint outs and figure painting sessions.
This fall I hope to focus on improving my art, doing some commissions and increasing my social media presence through Instagram and this website. And if things get really spicy, I also hope to start posting some YouTube tutorials and do some winter holiday shows!
